What do we know about the Alpine settlement system? How can policy making support Alpine towns? Where will cities go in the future? Why are small towns important for Europe and globally? Those questions will be answered at the ‘Alpine Towns’ Conference on 9.11.2022.

The conference marks a final highlight of the activities around the 9th Report on the State of the Alps ‘Alpine Towns’ and the TA2030 Pilot Action. The authors will introduce the report through maps, facts and debates. Invited experts and panellists discuss what the findings mean in practice.

The event shall include all interested persons from the town level, to regional and national organisations, to transnational cooperation, to European initiatives and beyond. The event is organized by the Swiss Presidency of the Alpine Convention.
