Alpine Pluralism Award

The Alpine Pluralism Award 2018 will help to make visible recently started and ongoing activities in the Alpine Space, to increase public awareness and provide inspiration for others to replicate these practices.

The Alpine Pluralism Award 2018 is embedded into the Interreg Project PlurAlps - Enhancing capacities for a pluralistic Alpine Space: The Alpine area is experiencing the combined challenges of an ageing population and new migration models. At the same time, opportunities for social innovation and development arise from increasing cultural diversity and pluralism. Mountainous and peripheral Alpine municipalities and regions are specifically concerned and need technical support and new approaches to develop a welcoming culture.

PlurAlps aims to develop and promote such a welcoming culture and to increase the territorial attractiveness and social cohesion of Alpine areas through innovative services and practices for the integration of migrants. The project will enable municipalities to engage better in social planning considering aspects of cultural diversity and quality of life of all citizens.

The Alpine Pluralism Award 2018 will help to make visible recently started and ongoing activities in the Alpine Space, to increase public awareness and provide inspiration for others to replicate these practices.

Deadline for the submission of proposals: Monday, 18 December 2017

All measures and proposals submitted within the deadline will be presented on the PlurAlps website and are visible throughout project duration (end of 2019). That in itself is already a huge bonus for you!

The best measures in each of the four categories will be presented in the Award Ceremony during the project Mid-Term Conference in Turin in May 2018 and will be promoted and disseminated to a larger audience covering the Alpine Space via different channels.

Additionally the best measures will be awarded with a certain amount of prize money (externally funded, not by ERDF).
