proCURE podcast: Sustainable procurement made easy
As part of the Erasmus+ funded proCURE project, a wide range of materials has been developed to support municipalities in implementing sustainable public procurement: a practical handbook, concrete tools and templates, as well as accompanying training materials. To complement these resources, a podcast episode has also been created, presenting the key contents of the project in an easily accessible format.
The podcast is aimed in particular at municipalities and administrative staff who are working on sustainable procurement or would like to take their first steps in this field. It explains why public procurement is an important lever for climate protection, resource conservation and social responsibility – and how municipalities can make practical use of the tools developed within the project.
The podcast episode is available in five languages and addresses sustainable procurement in small municipalities from different perspectives. It complements the proCURE handbook and the related tools: while the written materials guide users step by step through key topics and work processes, the podcast offers a compact introduction and makes the most important content accessible on the go or in between tasks.
With this podcast, proCURE aims to encourage municipalities to see sustainable procurement as an opportunity: for higher quality, long-term cost-effectiveness and a stronger alignment of municipal action with sustainability goals. The podcast is available on the SoundCloud channel of Alliance in the Alps.
